What a deep clean covers

We work top to bottom and inside out. Ceilings and cornices are cleared of cobwebs, fan blades and light shades are cleaned one by one, and walls are spot-cleaned where the paint allows. Cabinets, shelves and wardrobes are cleaned inside once you have emptied them. In the kitchen we degrease tiles, the stove, cabinet doors and the outside of the hood, and clean inside the fridge and microwave on request. In bathrooms we scrub tile joints, descale fittings, clean behind the commode and treat surface mould on grout and ceilings. Movable furniture is shifted so floors can be cleaned underneath, and doors, frames, switches, window grills and sliding tracks are cleaned in detail.

How the work is organised

A deep clean is a full-day job for most homes, so we plan it carefully. After you share the size and condition of the property — photos help a great deal — we recommend a team size and schedule. On the day, the team leader agrees priorities with you, covers electronics and delicate pieces, and splits the team between wet areas such as the kitchen and bathrooms and dry areas such as bedrooms and living spaces, so the work progresses in parallel. Heavy-duty agents are used only where they are needed and are rinsed off properly. Before we leave, you go through the property with the team leader and point out anything that needs another pass.

Getting ready and what to expect afterwards

Empty the cupboards and wardrobes you want cleaned inside, clear the worktops, and put valuables and documents away. Let us know about delicate surfaces such as marble, wooden floors or antique furniture. Expect some noise and movement during the day, and a strong improvement rather than perfection on very old stains; some marks on grout, stone or painted walls are permanent.
